Halloween is a beloved celebration around the United States, but New York City is where it's truly lively- or should we say, undeadly! This year's annual Village Halloween Parade won't disappoint. With the theme: I AM a Robot, we should see some spectacular mechanical costumes.
What makes this parade such fun is that everyone is welcome to participate. While dressing up along with the theme is encouraged, you won't have to come decked out with gears or tech. As long as you are in the Halloween spirit and wearing a costume, you can walk up 6th Avenue with all your might. Feeling extra festive? You can volunteer with the parade to animate a giant puppet or act as a parade Marshal.
Only those in costume can walk along the parade path, but if you're not one for dressing up, you can watch from the sidelines and cheer on the participants. With tons of giant puppets, musical bands, dancers, and more, this parade will not disappoint spectators.
So start working on your costume now! The parade asks you to be creative, but more importantly, have fun. And on October 31, 2018, make your way to 6th Avenue and Canal Street between 6:30PM and 9:00PM to start what is truly an adventure called the Village Halloween Parade.
